Wrestler Geeta Phogat appointed DSP in Haryana Police

  • Haryana Government has appointed wrestler Geeta Phogat (27-year) as a Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) in Haryana Police.
  • She has been appointed as DSP rank under the sports quota by Haryana Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar by Home Department’s proposal.

Geeta Phogat has won India’s first ever gold medal in women’s wrestling in the 55 kg freestyle category at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and also the first-ever Indian woman wrestler to have qualified for the Olympics.

      • Sir Cox is honored for Survival Analysis Model Applied in Medicine, Science, and Engineering.
      • The International Prize in Statistics Foundation is recognizing Cox specifically for his 1972 paper in which he developed the proportional hazards model that today bears his name.
